The Olympus VS120-SL is a high capacity microscope based system, with a robust and integrated slide loader. It has been engineered for high-workload and research environments. The well designed slide loader contains two racks, each holding 50 slides. This offers users careful and reliable slide handling, as well as fully automated scanning. The integrated barcode scanner reads all common 1-D and 2-D code formats and can be used to automate slide data entry.
The Hamamatsu NanoZoomer 2.0-HT is a whole slide scanning system that converts glass slides into digital slides by scanning them quickly at 20X and 40X magnifications. It processes up to maximum 210 slides automatically using its dedicated slide cassettes. The NanoZoomer 2.0-HT can also automatically read a slide’s barcode information and use it to name the slide file. The Z-stack function, a unique feature of the NanoZoomer 2.0-HT, allows multilayer scanning at different focal planes of a specimen on a whole slide. Prior to slide scanning choose the number of planes and the spacing between each plane and then navigate between planes with the image viewer as if you were adjusting the fine or coarse focus screw of a microscope.
